Yes, laughing is amazing,
It makes our life so long,
It brightens up our being
And help us to be strong.

It gives us hope and brightens
The day against our will,
But did you know one trifle?
It anyone can kill.

Boys should be strong and brutal
And play all things on wheels,
Girls should be pretty, sweety,
Wear make-up and high heels.

Those who don't fit are out,
Considered as no-good,
It works on all the planet,
Always in people's mood.

I used to date a model -
Six feet and hourglass.
But then I felt love - genuine! -
For one who didn't pass.

She's short, red-haired and curly,
With freckles all around.
Her speech is not so perfect,
For me it sweetly sounds.

No one is realizing
That she is my true love.
"How could you change that beauty
For this?!" If not more rough.

When everybody sees her,
They laugh at her outside,
Not caring to glance inside -
You see, they have their pride.

It's strange: when being children
We're told that being smart
Is precious, but later
It's money which makes start.

I studied in the uni,
I made my best to please
All teachers. There was group mate
Whose father's a big cheese.

He got good marks for nothing,
He drove Porsche and laughed:
"If you're born in right family,
This life is not so tough!"

This lad looked always sleepy -
At morning, evening, day,
Of course, nobody thought then
That it was so okay.

They called him 'walking zombie'
And laughed behind his back.
No matter he was studying
And filling money lack.

At day he was at uni,
At night he carried weights,
At morning studies science,
At evening he fixed lights.

But no one knew, so laughter
Was sounding all day long
About 'walking zombie'
Who's tired of being strong.

There are so many reasons
That make us people laugh,
But please do care about that -
Check laughing stock and stuff.

She does not buy cool posters,
She reads books and learns fast.
But every other person
Abandons all her trust.

The girls point at her, giggle:
"Here comes the nerd of school!
Let's play a little jokey -
Let's show she is uncool!"

The 'nerd' walks home in tears -
The one with 'genuine' sound
Talked to her with one reason -
Be cool at such background.

I know the smartest person -
He knows all that you ask,
He's funny and creative,
He takes every mind task.

I know the dumbest person -
She doesn't know a thing,
Knows nothing 'sept 'how to look like',
Cuts every person's wing.

The smartest person's crying -
He cannot find his place,
His brains can't fit in any
Team with the 'normal face'.

The dumbest person's laughing -
She's boss of worldwide group,
She can buy all she wants to,
Makes each one hang in loop.

His hand is amputated.
Don't ask me why it's so.
And obviously nobody
Gives him a chance to go.

Who needs one-handed worker?
Who needs one who can't write?
He tries to write left-handed,
But fingers are still tight.

The sound of laughter-slaughter
Does follow him around,
Until he dies, so lonesome,
His life is with it bound.

I'm asking you for one thing:
First come and learn what's wrong,
Don't laugh at anybody
Who can't sing others' song.

Tell them that there's still hope,
Or happily ever after,
Some day - not now, perhaps so,
They'll hear the good sound of laughter.
And I just realized that it's Laughing Day today.
"It's funny when it's not happening to you" (unknown).

I'm just asking you to take care of your laughter and its reasons.
That girl in old clothes. You called her a lazy-bottomed hobo and zombie. She works night and day to help her sick mother.
That boy with a scar on his face. You told him no one will ever speak to him. He fell out of the burning house's window when he was small.
That woman with spotted skin. You don't call her other way that 'fat mermaid'. She suffers from a very rare disease.
That man who drank medicine labelled 'for women only'. You called him gay. He has migraines, and only this medicine helps.

And there are more stories like this. So I ask you - please look before you laugh.
