  - Oh dear, that's quite simple, can't you see? I thought you were cleverer...
  - I am! You think that everybody is stupid... or that everybody can read your thoughts.
"I wonder if they got caught... though they shouldn't", - thought Mytrice Allebloo, watching the unusual scene - her younger brother Eccly was taking an informal driving lesson from his new classmate (actually an exchange student, and indeed more than just a foreigner) Kyon Turlough. It would be all fine if it were not for two things: firstly, both Eccly and Kyon were seven-year-olds, and secondly, the car belonged to Jefferson Allebloo. Mytrice was eighteen and already had driving rights, and she was responcible for this stuff, but Kyon, though it was almost unbelievable, was a better driver than her. Right here, at the suburbs, there was quite a fine place with loads of space to drive, so nothing could become an obstacle.
  - Mytrice, you told that you downloaded a new game. - The youngest Mytrice's brother (she had four of them), four-year-old Smithy, obviously got bored with waiting. - Gimme to play, please...
Mytrice sighed and gave her cell phone to him - it was impossible to resist this sweetest of things: almost always cheerful, devoted and sincere mass of thick brown hair and sporty-like clothes. The game was a hit. It was a multicrossover of "Sugar Rush" from the "Wreck-it Ralph" movie and some other Disney movies, and not only: every day there were new characters, and Mytrice could swear there happened the ones terribly similar to Sherlock and John from BBC "Sherlock" series. Such-like childish versions.
Smithy immediately turned this game on, but his glee almost vanished when it happened, and he stared at the screen, blinking his forest green eyes in disbelief.
  - What's there, Smithy? - Mytrice leaned to see what was there. Smithy pointed at the "Choose Your Character" table with nine windows. - Whom did you see there?.. Oh dears. Eccly! Kyon! Come here, both of you!
  - What could be so special about the stupid mobile phone game? - annoyed, asked Kyon, jumping out of the car - he had been on the front seat, supervising Eccly's actions. - The only problem with these games is that you can spoil your sight and waste lots of time... Dash!
That was "dash" - the character in the middle window had a striking resemblance to Smithy. The same hairstyle (fringe combed to the side), the same face shape, the same colors, though it all was in cartoony form. And Smithy had an "original" - the one to whom he owed his unusual coming to this world. Doctor. Eleventh Doctor.
  - Well, you sure that's him? - Eccly asked. - Smithy, give me the phone!..
  - I can't, - Smithy replied, staring at the screen like hypnotized. Kyon waved his hand in front of Smithy's face, and there was no reaction, so he froze, as if listening to something.
  - I feel there's something alien, - he informed. - There's something wrong in the game. Something not from this planet.
  - You sure it's not YOU? A lock of your hair, if studied, could turn all the UFO and genetics analyses unside down... it's all about your DNA. Oh, sorry, Kyon, I'm not guilty that you have no sense of humor. - Having finished this speech, Eccly finally noticed that Mytrice also got "frozen". - What's there?
  - I have no idea, maybe some kind of a virus, - Kyon shrugged. - I'm too sure something alien got into the game, but I'm not too sure what exactly. You know, there can be a classical scenario of an invasion... or someone just wants to have fun. What do you humans call it? Puppet show?
  - And what are you going to do? They don't hear us.
  - Well, let's join them. It's the only way to see the truth. And maybe... help our common friend.

Samantha Judson was boiling with rage. The lesser evil was getting trapped in this video game or whatever it was... at least for her. She hated competitions, and as far as she had been fed with them for the first ten years of her life, it was the most irritating matter for her. One more thing was that now she and her best friend, the humanlike thirty-centimeter-tall creature named Chibiten, now had some common features - Chibiten almost didn't change, but she - as well as her companions, Doctor and Johnny-Jimmy - became "like him", or rather like other characters of this game. The same height, big heads, large eyes, brighter outfit colors... One word - "Sugar Rush".
However, Doctor didn't share her being upset - he was running around his new vehicle for the lack of TARDIS, examining it.
  - Oooooh, I love it! - he finally exclaimed. Though Samantha was in the bluest mood, something like a smile twinged on her face, when she saw "chibi-like" Doctor bouncing like a little child next to his new property - the cart made of - guess what? - fish fingers and custard together with Jammie Dodgers as wheels and, of course, decorated with a candy wrapper bow, the same one as there was on his neck now. Chibiten's cart was cut out of a frozen banana dipped in chocolate, and Doctor also found it extremely funny - the matter was that Chibiten was a diminished copy of Tenth him, and right now he was dressed just like his original. That pinstriped brown suit, those cream-colored trainers... Coinscidence. Or not.
And it all began with Doctor discovering something weird in the newest game available to download - this very "Sugar Rush". "It's like that Wi-Fi matter!" No one exactly knew what had taken place, but eventually all four of them landed right here, in the "magic world of sweets"... or actually in some kind of virtual reality. And without the TARDIS.
  - Well, I'm quite sure we're sleeping in TARDIS, safe and sound, - informed Doctor. They were waiting for Samantha's and Johnny-Jimmy's carts to be prepared because all of them were given an ultimatum to race. And there was no way out discovered yet. - I think one of us gotta win, and then...
His musing was interrupted by a thunder-like sound, and four more people - or rather tiny versions of them - appeared at sight. And Doctor just knew who they were.
  - I did not see that coming! - he shot out, running to them. - Oh dears, Mytrice, Eccly! And Smithy's here! And... how did you get here, Kyon?
  - Don't ask, - Kyon panted: he hit his knee quite hard after this unlucky "landing". - Are we dead and in hell? I hate luscious things.
  - Nope. We're going to have a race soon... and we're going to add some salt to this sugary world, eh? - Doctor glanced forward to the "cart plant", having seen that more carts were going to be made for the newcomers. - Just be attentive.
  - Doctor-daddy, you behave as if we're controlled, - mentioned Johnny-Jimmy, watching his newly-made lemon popsicle cart being transported to the gate.
  - We have to obey, - in Dalek-like voice pronounced Doctor and winked to his companions.

That was some kind of a Formula 1 for the children - there were at least thirty carts at the start, and some of the racers were strangely familiar. Myrtice noticed Sherlock and John again, and Samantha spotted someone suspiciously similar to her mate with a weird name Nine Templest. All those racers - well, almost all of them - were smiling forcedly, as if someone was pulling corners of their mouths up... well, a game.
  Three... Two... One...
Thirty carts dashed off the place. And Johnny-Jimmy almost immediately crashed into the back of Kyon's peppermint candy car due to his absolute lack of driving experience, but luckily they both remained fine. Having forgotten his usual smug behaviour, Kyon began quickly giving instructions to Johnny-Jimmy, not caring about horrible noise around:
  - Press the left pedal! Got it? Now put the lever onto the first position, a little press on the right pedal...
He didn't make a perfect racer out of Johnny-Jimmy, but at least the younger boy got the image of the process. Meanwhile Doctor, Samantha and Mytrice gained not leading, but some of the positions closest to the first ones, while Eccly's banana waffle cart was drawing snakes behind them, and Chibiten's was hit by two competitors' carts from both sides.
  - I think I got it! - Doctor yelped, driving on almost insane speed and a bit ahead from Samantha and Mytrice. - Whatever it is, it takes unexperieced drivers and makes the game attractive for crash lovers, not only for kids!
  - What are we going to do? - shouted Samantha, hardly keeping control over her raspberry icecream cart. She could drive, but had a little experience. - Doctor! What are we going to do?
  - Leave it to me! Just take care that one of us wins! Mytrice!
  - Ahey! - she replied, directing her black chocolate vehicle closer to him and hardly avoiding being hit by a kid in a car that looked more like a basket of fruit.
  - Conceal me, girls!
Now the way was leading up onto the "caramel volcano", the highest point seen around. Doctor began slowly, but surely taking the leading position, though it was hard to avoid being struck from all sides - either on purpose or accidentally. Eccly finally managed to gain control over his vehicle and caught up with Samantha and Mytrice, yelling to them:
  - Chibiten's out! Smithy stayed to help him out of the way, and JJ is with Kyon!
  - Good boy, Eccly! Now be right behind me! - ordered Doctor. - Sammy, you cover me from the right, Mytrice, you come from the left!
The spiral way was closer and closer to the top. Doctor's cart roared like TARDIS engines, and he, without paying any attention to the sharp turn, flew out of the way together with his vehicle, dashing up into the air.
  - He's going to smash himself! - Samantha gasped.
She was almost right - when that very area was seen again from the turn, the fish custard cart was desperately falling to the ground, but it was obviously empty.
  - Where did he go? - Kyon finally caught up with them, though it wasn't easy - Johnny-Jimmy's cart was tied to the back of his vehicle with a caramel rope. - What's he up to?
  - You never know... OUCH! - Eccly hit the gear panel with his nose - his cart was struck from behind, and the race was about to get totally dirty. - No more talking!
Halfway was done. To say honest, Mytrice was more obsessed with getting to the finish while staying alive than winning, and Samantha was willing to get out. Kyon blushed till the roots of his ginger hair, having thought about all the questions that will take place if he (or rather his body) is found on the suburbs together with three more and an unlocked car, so he had one more stimulation to win and get away. Eccly was eager to learn whatever happened to Smithy and Chibiten - those ruthless racers would smash them... Johnny-Jimmy was ashamed that he couldn't drive properly and was giving Kyon and his vehicle more tension.
More, more, more. It wasn't long till the finish line, and there weren't many survivors, but Samantha and Mytrice managed to stay in the lead. And not only them - that very "Sherlock" in the purple candy cart managed to become the third among them.
  - Okay, Doctor, now we're going to help you out, - muttered Mytrice almost without understanding her own words. Her fingers almost grew into the steering wheel - it melted in the form of her fingers, exposing the base made of cookies. - Sammy! When I say dash, DASH! I'll push you!
  - WHAT?!
  - Come on! DASH!
And with the loudest "THUD!" Mytrice roughly turned right and pushed Samantha's cart from behind, giving it additional stimulation to move on. It wasn't wrong that her own got smashed - now Samantha would obviously win: she gained some vital space after this trick.

Johnny-Jimmy's head was swimming, but he nevertheless saw it exactly - he no longer was in the candy cart, but next to the TARDIS. And not alone - all eight of them were here: himself, Kyon, Samantha, Chibiten, Mytrice, Eccly, Smithy and, definitely, Doctor. Everyone in normal state - what a cheer for the eyes!
  - Well, there was a small glitch in the game, - Doctor informed, helping Mytrice to stand up. - Someone wanted to earn everything possible, and here's the result - the game began downloading people. I wiped them all out of the game's memory and blocked it... Wow! I thought being a video game character was fun.
  - So it's safe now? - Smithy asked, checking his clothes - he was afraid that some sweet spots were left there. But no, it all was clean.
  - Quite safe, kiddo. Phew! Just like that matter with Weeping Angels...
  - Which one? - Kyon asked.
  - A big ball of wibbly-wobbly... racey-wacey... stuff.
